we went to breakfast at the flying star and then headed to santa fe. it was about an hour drive. we walked around the plaza and went into shops. grant started to lose steam, so we didn’t spend too much time there. auntie karen bought him a cool train, though.
we went back to karen and brian’s house and grant took a nap.
this is the guest bathroom which has a kokopelli theme. kokopelli is a symbol of fertility. when i stayed at karen and brian’s 8 years ago, i didn’t like that bathroom because i was adamant on not having kids and i thought being surrounded by these fertility gods would rub off (how ridiculous). i find it funny that i am here 8 years later with my own kid.
when grant woke up, we put on his swim trunks and got wet and wild. we played with the hose, with water balloons and squirt guns. he was having a blast. we grilled hot dogs and corn for dinner and then did some fireworks.
